Here is everything we will never build.
We make money only when it actually works.
The apps aren't broken by accident
Endless choice, engineered scarcity, a slot machine dressed as romance — the incentives of a swipe app point away from you finding someone. If you leave, the machine stops earning. So it is very carefully designed so that you don't, quite, leave.
We think the whole model is a mistake. Attention is the wrong thing to optimise for. So we optimise for the opposite: the fewest, best introductions, and getting you off the platform and into a real conversation.
What we promise, by refusing to build it
- No swiping and no browse grid. You are not a deck of cards. There is no feed to scroll.
- No boosts, no pay-to-be-seen. You can never buy your way in front of someone. Membership adds a second introduction and priority in matching — never visibility.
- No see-who-liked-you. No manufactured curiosity, no dark-pattern paywall around a notification.
- No unlimited matches. One introduction a week is the point. Scarcity is honesty, not a growth tactic.
- No ads. You are the member, not the product.
- No public reputation scores. Reputation quietly shapes matching; it is never displayed or gamified.
How we make money
The free tier gives you one introduction a week, forever. An optional membership adds a second weekly introduction, priority in the batch, and video-date scheduling — outcomes, never attention. We are willing to publish the one number incumbents won't: dates per hundred matches.
Safety, stated plainly
Every member is verified — a real phone number and a college or work email, with additional verification for explicit lanes. We are 18+ only and DPDP-compliant, we store the minimum, and you can delete everything at any time. We do not run background checks and don't claim to; safety comes from verification, behaviour, and human review — not a promise we can't keep.
